Strike Fighters lets you both take command of a fighter and engage in aerial dogfights with enemies, in addition to letting you destroy ground targets. Although the game is set in the 1960s–when aviation technology was still primitive–the game lets you control some of the most powerful fighters of the period, including the F-100 Super Sabre, the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, and the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. Each aircraft is historically accurate, as are the somewhat unreliable missiles and guided weapons. Your skill at outmaneuvering your opponents is the key to victory and survival.
